Sometimes things come full circle.<\/p>\n

This picture is of our son’s cabin as they celebrate their victory in the cabin competitions. Our boy is on the shoulders of his counselor The Thing. But that counselor is the son of\u00a0Scruffy’s friend Carrie. Scruffy was his AWANA leader long before he became The Thing. And long before Carrie had any children, she went to High School with Scruffy and was one of the only Christians that he respected, long before Scruffy was a follower of Christ. She was also one of the few “Cool Kids” who was kind to everyone, even a hurting kid from Peshastin, who was angry with God, and didn’t know\u00a0his place in the world.<\/p>\n

So Carrie was kind to Scruffy.<\/p>\n

God found Scruff\u00a0at college in 1992.<\/p>\n

Scruffy was\u00a0the AWANA leader of Carrie’s son.<\/p>\n

Scruffy was the Camp\u00a0Director who trained The Thing when he grew up to become staff.<\/p>\n

The Thing was\u00a0our son’s wonderful camp counselor.<\/p>\n

The thing’s\u00a0parents stop\u00a0Scruff at the store, tears in their eyes, and thank him for being part of their boy’s life. Just like\u00a0The\u00a0Thing is part of our boy’s life.<\/p>\n

And it all started when\u00a0a\u00a0teen girl\u00a0took the time to be kind.<\/p>\n

God is love and love is everything.<\/p>\n
